Light it Up! Investigation

Look all around you! From the objects on the table in front of you to the park outside, you use your sense of sight help you see things. You are able to use your sense of sight to let light into your eyes. Without light, you would not be able to see all the things around you! But, the objects around you are different from one another. They look different, feel different and are made of different things. These characteristics, like what an object feels like or looks like, are called properties. All objects have properties that make them unique or different from one another! I wonder though, how will light act when shown on objects with different properties? If we shine a flashlight onto materials with different properties, what do you think will happen to the light? Calling all you junior scientists; let's get ready to investigate to find out!
