Magical Minerals

Mother Nature is pretty spectacular! From lush, green forests to crashing waves on sandy beaches, the environments on Earth are vast and full of resources. Humans use these natural resources from Earth materials for a variety of reasons, including using soil and water to grow crops, using wood to provide heat and/or to build shelters and mining minerals like iron and copper to make usable items. In this lesson, students will engage in a card-sort activity to investigate how humans use natural resources in everyday life.
