Lesson Plan: Two for One Special!
Estimated Time: 20 minutes
In an environment, all plants and animals obtain and use resources in order to grow and survive. Animals depend on plants or other animals for food, using their senses to find resources such as food, water and shelter and their body parts to gather, catch, chew, and eat food sources. While some animals may use a resource in their environment for shelter, another animal may use the same resource as a food source. Oftentimes, resources and materials in an environment are used again and again by different animals for different reasons. In this lesson, students will engage in a read-aloud in order to explain how animals use resources from the environment that are reused by different animals for various reasons.
