Lesson Plan: Strength in Numbers
Estimated time: 35 minutes
Organisms of the same species possess characteristics that provide them an “extra-boost” or advantage in surviving, finding mates and reproducing in their environments. While some of these characteristics are inherited from their parents, others are the results of organisms interacting with the environment. In this lesson, students will engage in a scenario-based activity in order to construct an argument based on evidence that inherited characteristics can be affected by behavioral and environmental conditions.
