Lesson Plan: So Far, Yet So Close!
Estimated Time: 35 minutes
From gravity keeping the planets in orbit around the Sun in our solar system, to you pulling your front door open, forces are everywhere! Some forces affect objects through direct contact, such as friction and elastic pushes and pulls. Other forces can affect objects at a distance, for instance, gravitational, electric and magnetic forces. In this lesson, students will construct an explanation using evidence that magnetic objects can affect other objects from a distance.
