Observing Texture

When two surfaces rub against each other, this interaction is called friction.  Friction between two surfaces can warm both of them, like rubbing your hands together.  There are ways to reduce or increase the friction between two objects.  Students observe these photographs and answer questions that discuss the textures of the materials.
